Dr. McHenry believes that your health is your most precious asset. By taking the time to develop a collaborative relationship with his patients, addressing root cause issues over symptoms, and bridging the gap between traditional Medicine and Functional Medicine, Dr. McHenry is able to help his patients reach their health goals.
As a third generation physician, Dr. McHenry has a deep rooted compassion for helping people. Dr. McHenry along with medical students from the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine, founded the H.O.M.E. project, Homeless Outreach through Medical Education, in 1998 and the program is still thriving today. Dr. McHenry received the Arizona Osteopathic Medical Association award for Outstanding Contributions to Osteopathic Medicine in 2003 and the Humanitarian award in 2005.
He graduated from Arizona State University and earned his doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Des Moines University. He later completed his internship and residency at Tempe St. Luke’s Hospital, where he was recognized as Intern of the Year and served as chief resident.
He is married to Mary Romero, M.D., a practicing Obstetrician and Gynecologist in Scottsdale. The couple has two sons. Dr. McHenry is an avid outdoor sports enthusiast— he enjoys coaching his sons in sports, golf, cycling, and paddle boarding.
